Never has it been more important to be mission-driven in the public interest. With the COVID-19 threat looming, MITRE dedicated our energy and resources to finding answers to counter the emerging crisis.
Pioneering together with government, academia, and industry, we are uniquely positioned to move quickly in defining problems and proposing solutions. This reputation was a key reason Mayo Clinic and others asked MITRE to manage the COVID-19 Healthcare Coalition, now more than 800 members strong.
Meanwhile, our researchers are working tirelessly on such solutions as determining the best method for decontaminating large quantities of N95 masks and other personal protective gear. Others have developed an app that lets people report coronavirus symptoms easily, from home.
We continue to adapt how we collaborate with our sponsors and partners to ensure we are delivering results that support our mission of solving problems for a safer world.
