Dave Hall

Dave Hall is Division Director for the Department of Commerce within MITRE’s Center for Enterprise Modernization FFRDC. Since 2019, he has led MITRE’s partnership with the Department of Commerce, aligning MITRE’s technical expertise with mission priorities that advance economic growth and opportunity. He leads multidisciplinary teams delivering impact across a broad portfolio that includes supply chains, space, spectrum, weather, international trade, data management, cybersecurity, acquisition, and program management.

Previously, Dave served as MITRE’s Department Manager for Commerce, aligning systems engineering, scientific, and economic expertise with the Department’s long-term strategic needs. Earlier, as Co-Department Head for the IRS, Treasury, and Commerce Business Department, he led MITRE’s support for the IRS Office of Online Services from its inception in 2011, helping expand and modernize digital services for taxpayers.

Before joining MITRE, Dave held technical leadership, product development, and program management roles at Verizon, Clearwire, and AOL, and supported large-scale federal modernization initiatives at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Management Science from Virginia Tech.
