Deborah Youmans

Deborah Youmans is MITRE’s chief information officer. In this position, she leads more than 400 IT professionals in MITRE’s Enterprise Computing and Information Systems division and our work in innovation and experimentation, information security, enterprise information technology, business and knowledge services, and sector operations.

Youmans joined MITRE with more than 25 years of enterprise IT development and delivery. She previously was vice president and deputy CIO of Booz Allen Hamilton, where she led development and delivery of enterprise solutions across the firm’s 30,000 users. Prior to that, she directed Booz Allen Information Systems for more than a decade. Youmans also held software project manager and implementation manager roles at CACI International and American Management Systems.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Virginia Tech, where, in 2024 she was inducted into the Industrial and Systems Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni. Youmans also holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and is a certified Project Management Professional.
