Traci Scott
Principal Coordinator, National Security Outreach, Center for Data-Driven Policy
Traci Scott serves as the principal coordinator for national security outreach in the Center for Data-Driven Policy. She previously served as the senior adviser for strategic communications to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. She has more than 20 years of federal government service, serving as a civilian in Iraq, a political adviser to more than a dozen Army generals, and communications director for a U. S. senator and member of Congress. Before heading into government service, Scott worked as a broadcaster, starting her career at 16 years old. She is an inductee in the Nevada Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame. Recently, she was honored as a recipient of George Washington University’s Monumental Alumni award. She holds a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism and political science from Howard University and a master’s of political management from The George Washington University.
