Cyber Defense Magazine honored MITRE with three Global InfoSec Awards. The judges annually select winners who understand tomorrow’s threats, today, and innovate in unexpected ways to mitigate cyber risk and get one step ahead of the next breach.

MITRE Engage™ was named the Market Leader in Deception-Based Security. Since the MITRE EngageTM framework was launched in 2022, more than 44,000 cyber defenders from 176 countries are now actively leveling up their cyber deception and adversary engagement. The open framework and its set of tools raise the ceiling of expertise while lowering the barrier to entry in the cyber community.

D3FEND™ captured the Best Solution Award for Security Abstraction. The MITRE-developed, National Security Agency-sponsored D3FEND framework offers standardized vocabulary for employing techniques to counter malicious cyber activity and serves a wide range of stakeholders such as government agencies, medical facilities, universities, and defense industry leaders. Since its launch in June 2021, D3FEND has garnered hundreds of thousands of users.

MITRE Engenuity’s Center for Threat-Informed Defense won the Next Gen Award for Cybersecurity Research. New research from the Center is providing solutions to a wide range of gaps in the cyber defender’s arsenal. The Center has published 24 research and development projects since its inception in 2019 – all freely available to the greater cyber community. Bringing together highly sophisticated cybersecurity teams from around the world, the Center advances the state of the art and the state of the practice in threat-informed defense globally.
