As turbulence becomes more frequent, the ability to detect both clear air turbulence and upgrowth convectively induced turbulence (U-CIT) is game-changing. Providing pilots with sufficient advance warning of clear air turbulence along their flight path will enable them to either adjust their route to avoid it or secure the cabin before the encounter, better protecting passengers and crew.
