The SWC's approach to software wellness is founded on core principles such as lifelong engagement throughout the software's life cycle, proactive measures to address early signs of trouble, timely diagnosis and resolution of issues, and continuous innovation in software engineering. The SWC offers a range of services, including healthy software development, modernization, and acquisition; training and workforce enablement through the Software Wellness Academy (SWA); and software assessments, diagnosis, and recovery. These services are enabled by tools like the Software Wellness Record (SWR), customizable dashboards, and comprehensive playbooks.
