As reported by Inside Cybersecurity, "MITRE is urging the National Science Foundation to focus on design principles for enhancing resilience in cyber-physical systems and implementing artificial intelligence into threat prediction tools, as part of the government’s effort to respond to a presidential advisory board report.
“By focusing on resilience by design, predictive defense technologies, and cross-sector partnerships, we can develop comprehensive strategies that safeguard critical infrastructure and ensure a safer, more secure future,” MITRE said in an Oct. 25 filing to the NSF’s National Coordination Office for Networking and Information Technology Research and Development.
The filing is a response to a September RFI that asked for input as the government builds plans to “shape a whole-of-government research and development (R&D) plan related to cyber-physical resilience across systems that may be local, regional, or national in scope.”
