Navy veteran Seip flew radar planes for 18 of his 24 years of service. Seip started a new mission in civilian life, bringing his military background to MITRE as a principal analyst focused on artificial intelligence and autonomous systems.
"Best thing about being a pilot is you think quickly and adapt quickly," Seip said. "In AI, where so much is changing, it does require an ability intellectually to see where things are going."
