McLean, Va., February 9, 2015—Reflecting recent advances in the human social culture behavior modeling field, The MITRE Corporation has published Sociocultural Behavior Sensemaking: State of the Art in Understanding the Operational Environment. This edited volume highlights examples of recent advances, discusses the science and technology gaps, and proposes strategies for incorporating recent advances into operational use for each of four capability areas.

The book's coverage of emerging technical capabilities for operational communities provides the research and development funding community with a profile of technology gaps that are in need of investments to transition capabilities to the field.

A printed version of the book is available from Amazon and a free PDF version of the book is available on MITRE's website
