Nine MITRE Employees Recognized at 38th BEYA STEM Conference

Nine MITRE innovators were celebrated at the 38th annual Becoming Everything You Are (BEYA) STEM Conference on Saturday, Feb. 17. These awards honor outstanding achievements in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among professionals from underrepresented backgrounds.

This year's recipients are:

  • Legacy Award: Asma Abuzaakouk, Ph.D.
  • Research Leadership: Katherine Kim, Ph.D.
  • Most Promising Engineer: Pam Bhattacharya, Ph.D.
  • Most Promising Scientist: Connie Kim
  • Senior Investigator: Sridevi Polavaram, Ph.D.
  • Science Spectrum Trailblazer: Lex Crumpton
  • Modern-Day Technology Leader Award: Margaret Achieng
  • Modern-Day Technology Leader Award: Maha Malik
  • Modern-Day Technology Leader Award: Nathan Ankomah-Mensah
