MITRE’s Federal AI Sandbox provides a secure environment for federal agencies to experiment, prototype, and transition advanced AI solutions for mission needs. Built in partnership with NVIDIA and powered by an NVIDIA DGX H100 SuperPOD™ with 248 NVIDIA H100 GPUs and 9 PB of storage, the Sandbox gives MITRE and federal agencies the computing capacity to train and evaluate foundation models and other mission-specific AI systems. Located in Ashburn, Virginia, it supports work in areas such as weather modeling, benefits and service delivery, cybersecurity, aviation, and imagery analysis.
