We concentrate on our sponsors’ most critical problems, harnessing the expertise and rigorous research of MITRE and our partners in the health field. We look for research solutions that are broadly applicable to the government, other stakeholders, and, most importantly, the patients. Currently, we are working on the issues of health policy, health surveillance, information modernization and management, healthcare, and life sciences.
The research we're pursuing includes:
- Enabling the continuous, systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of health-related data needed for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health practices
- Developing tools to create evidence-based health policy
- Increasing the value and efficiency of healthcare
- Improving health via the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments
