Strengthening NATO’s Defense and Force Posture

The world is undergoing profound change, and long-standing international norms and institutions are being reshaped. The trans-Atlantic alliance must embrace and accelerate innovative geopolitical solutions that empower leaders to sustain a unified deterrence posture—and, if deterrence fails, to defeat aggression.

Combining our complementary strengths, MITRE has partnered with the Atlantic Council on pivotal global security initiatives. This collaboration began with a NATO Force Mix Analysis to examine ways to strengthen the Alliance’s eastern flank, assess the value of multidomain operations, and deter Russian aggression. It continues with MITRE’s participation in the Reimagining European Defense and Innovation (REDI) Task Force, which develops recommendations to increase industrial capacity and strengthen collaboration between Europe and the United States.

Partnership with the Munich Security Conference

MITRE also has an institutional partnership agreement with the Munich Security Conference (MSC), focused on sharing information and content, collaborating on events, and exploring new opportunities to strengthen global security.

For more than 60 years, MSC has been a cornerstone of international security policy dialogue, convening influential leaders each February to address today’s most urgent challenges and tomorrow’s evolving risks.
