C-SPAN: Dave Gerber Featured in Panel on Air Force’s 2030 Needs
Dave Gerber, principal author of MITRE’s study of the U.S. Air Force’s 2030 needs, talked about the outcome during a Sept. 5 Mitchell Institute event on Capitol Hill.
MITRE’s report was one of three independent studies of Air Force structure that similarly concluded that the service needs additional long-range airpower to meet the National Defense Strategy. The studies were mandated by the 2019 Defense Authorization Act.
Gerber noted that much of today’s force structure will still be in use in 2030, so new upgrades, operating concepts, and basing options will all be important.
