In a recent story in U.S. Black Engineer magazine, MITRE's Stephanie Turner, vice president, inclusion, diversity and social innovation, shares the insights from research on the nation’s historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education. One social innovation outcome involves collaboration with Alabama A&M University to build a prototype for improving K-12 STEM education in underserved communities.
