2024 Presidential Transition

Through its Center for Data-Driven Policy, MITRE offers nonpartisan evidence-based recommendations to the 2024 presidential transition teams on scientific and technical topics including AI, cybersecurity, transportation, government management, and national security. We provide our insights through the federal transition network—a group of nonpartisan “good government” organizations, the White House, the federal transition coordinator at the General Services Administration, and the political parties’ transition teams.

The Center for Data-Driven Policy is tapping the talents of MITRE’s 9,000+ employees to inform the next administration on top national priorities. MITRE’s unwavering commitment to scientific integrity and to work in the public interest empowers us to conduct independent policy analysis free from political or commercial pressures.

Check back throughout the 2024 election cycle for new releases offering recommendations to both parties’ transition teams.

These papers compile insights and recommendations from the June 2024 Federal Identity Forum (FedID), aiming to inform the 2024–2025 presidential transition teams on strategic actions to enhance identity security and public trust. These papers reflect the perspectives of workshop participants and do not represent the formal views of FedID organizers, including federal agencies, MITRE, and AFCEA.
