Jason S. Boswell is focused on protecting critical infrastructure and advancing the next generation of cybersecurity technology, standards, government policies, and best practice frameworks. With more than 25 years of experience in securing telecommunications networks and global information communication technologies (ICT) infrastructure, he is now applying his expertise at MITRE to pioneer cross-sector security innovations and solve problems for a safer world.

He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and is known in the industry as an expert and frequent speaker on topics such as wireless security (3G, 4G, 5G, O-RAN), threat intel, software assurance, network resiliency, zero trust architecture, supply chain integrity, core network security, and security considerations of emerging technologies, such as Post-Quantum Cryptography and AI. 

Before joining MITRE in 2024, Boswell was the vice president and head of End-to-End Security for Ericsson North America. His career began at Lucent Technologies and Bell Labs, as a distinguished member of the consulting staff. He also served as the head of Security Sales, North America, at Nokia Siemens Networks, and later was a chief architect, North America, for Global Service Providers at Symantec Corporation.  

Throughout his career, Boswell has represented global companies on numerous industry groups, councils, and committees, including as a POC and subcommittee co-lead for the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee to the President (NSTAC); voting member of the Communications Sector Coordinating Council (CSCC) Executive Committee; voting member of the DHS Information and Communications Technology Supply Chain Risk Management (ICT SCRM) Task Force; co-founder of the 5G Security Test Bed; and chair-elect of IEEE ComSoc CQR Technical Committee. 

He has also been a frequent contributor to the FCC Communications, Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC), Enduring Security Framework (ESF), CTIA Cybersecurity Working Group (CSWG), Parliamentary Intelligence Security Forum (PI-SF), and Network Security Information Exchange (NSIE). In addition, Boswell has provided Congressional testimony in 5G and supply chain security matters to U.S. House and Senate committees.
